Over the years, the world continues to progress from a simple one wherein manual labor is present to a complex one wherein machine rule the world. However, as complex at it may seem, it has brought about leisure to some and expenses to all. Mentioning such, you cannot go away from the magnificent structures of technology.

Man is never contented of himself. He is never contented of how simple life can be. He sees to find a more stress free life thereby creating technology in the process. Technology has lived in itself from history up to now. Technology began its roots from fire. Man discovered to make fire in the primitive times. After such, man evolved to what we are now bringing about the fire he has discovered.

In a historian’s point of view, the fire is not just a mere fire in itself. It gives about another meaning. As man brought fire from the primitive times to the modern history, it simply symbolizes that man has come across with technology itself and has accepted it and will continue to nurture it. Fire is the technology man has accepted. Because of which, man continues to exploit many other things aside from fire. From the discovery of fire, it has brought about livelihood to many. It gave birth to what is known as cooking.

Indeed, fire has made a stepping stone for mankind. Not only that, it gave birth to technology. Today, fire is still burning within itself as technology continues to develop with mankind and the world. Technology has made its mark from light bulbs to complex computers around the globe. It has helped many professions in the process yielding better employees and effective works and outputs. It has continued to amaze many and has made life easier to which man wants.

Although technology is more of a lifesaver, it also has its pros and cons. Like, for example, fire in itself is deemed helpful but in the process, burning of plastic can destroy the ozone layer. Because of its destruction, the world experiences chaos and natural calamities such as El Nino and the like. What we deemed beneficial for mankind may be in the later part of life, the man’s worst enemy. Technology in itself is helpful for the world but couldn’t people just learn to work for themselves rather than passing it to computers?

People nowadays, have turned to become lazy. People are lazy enough to, even stop working and leave all the work to the machines. Indeed these machines are of help to us but let us also help ourselves in a way. These machines will sooner or later make errors, and we are to blame not them, for we are more superior to them in a sense. They are just slaves as to we are the masters of them. It would be weird to think as them being superior to us, isn’t it?

Technology has helped many especially in the business and industries. Through technology, it has made the thoughts and perceptions of man possible. Like building furniture, man cannot build furniture alone. He needs the aid of technology to build such and in the process makes an output to the pleasing of many. In another point of view, daily house chores are made as efficiently and fast as possible with the help of technology. Man cannot simply sweep away dust without the aid of a broom and who could make popcorn without the microwave? Technology is all over the place. It is about time to think and thank technology itself. This is so by taking care of which and not abusing it.

Technology and man have been partners for a very long time indeed. Because of which man has continued his inclination to machines, gadgets and gizmos. However, not all of these technologies are machines and not all of them are gizmos. However, one thing is for sure, it has really helped man survive. Who could have thought that man could survive after the grueling storms, typhoons, earthquakes and tsunamis without the help of technology? Technology has made its name to us. Let us face it; we aren’t able to survive without the help of technology. Technology is even present in simple transportation alone. Technology is indeed one powerful entity that man has discovered. This will hopefully help man survive in the future. This is not to be abused for ones abused it has its own consequences soon. Abuse of something is by far a violation to any entity in this world.

Learn to treasure technology as it is, for without it, who knows we will be still stuck in caves and bushes right at this very instant. Long live technology and long live mankind!

During the industrial revolution when human searched for means to do more things rapidly and at the least cost, invention and technology were all about production machines. Huge metal blocks of gears powered industries, producing food, farming and tools and weapons. The assembly line further pushed the boundaries of production capability. Inventors and discoverers created things that were manufactured in large numbers so it can be bought by more people.

In the age of computers, the battle has shifted away from brute human force and engine horsepower. It permeated into the battle of ideas, systems and procedures. The biggest companies of today are no longer the plantations or the super factories. The most successful companies of the last three decades have been those that delivered ideas that made life easier for people—companies that created applications that solved problems and efficient systems – Microsoft, Apple, Google, and IBM. These are the companies of the present, and they will most likely lead the corporate world into the future.

At the heart of their business are ideas and each company’s quest to make life easier. While these companies continue to dominate, they also ushered in a new breed of entrepreneurs, innovators and businessmen who have nothing but ideas but are now up to the list of the world’s biggest and youngest billionaires.

This does not mean industries have disappeared. Factories still produce food, television sets and mobile phones. However, as the world becomes smaller, competition is as tough as ever. For everyone maker of a product in the United States, there is perhaps a thousand more creating the same in factories in China, Vietnam, South America or Eastern Europe. Waging war in terms of price will only kill American companies and will benefit Chinese’s companies with their cheap labor cost and relatively low regard for quality and even safety. Waging war in terms of creating designs and new products will only last so long as products are copied by clandestine companies. Piracy is not only limited to movies or music but to design and creation as well.

So the battle for product supremacy lies on innovation, with creative people in the forefront of not only creating a product, but adding more value into it over time. Applications and product adaptability are the key features of the products of the century with companies not only delivering a static product off the shelf, but also solutions, innovation, design and creativity. This has given rise to small entrepreneurs, who, despite being unable to fight big companies in terms of size and price, can make up in terms of quality and service.

Efforts are being made in factory floors and office cubicles to increase productivity and efficiency to save costs. Technological innovations now start as ideas more than rough sketches. These ideas come from anywhere in the corporate ladder, attacked and improved by everyone else, and commercialized as solutions and applications.

Indeed, technology has now moved into a new sphere. Muscle and engine power is already there. It is now the time for human brains to make the most out of the technological marvels of the past to make life easier and better for today and the future.
